The Nandi shrine
The detached Nandi pavilion forms an integral part of the architectural scheme of the Visvanatha temple. The square pavilion rests on twelve pillars, enshrines a massive image of Nandi, the bull-vehicle of Shiva, which faces the main deity of Visvanatha temple.
